Let me take you straight to my childhood, in my Marwadi household. Growing up in a traditional environment, I observed the women who, though silent, exuded strength. Decked up in exquisite and enduring jewellery, they had their moments to shine in an otherwise patriarchal setting.

When I was younger, I may have admired the men in our housedold as role models for being the decision-makers and exuding fearlessness and power. However, as I matured, I discoverd that women emanate a different kind of power and confidence when they adorn themselves with exquisite jewellery.

That’s precisely where I found the inspiration to work with or around jewellery. The instant I entered that space, it felt both familiar and new to me.

After exploring interior design, I discovered my great interest in something that had always been close to me.

“Namami” originates from the Sanskrit root word “Namah”, signifying “To Bow” in reverence to the universe.

When my husband, Pulkit, proposed the word for my brand, it immediately resonated with me because it perfectly captured how I felt when I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey at the age of 30 – a feeling of complete surrender and trust in the universe.
